Joseph H. Gaudet Middle School successfully made AYP, but regarding the NECAP scores, they had a mix of good and bad test scores. The 5th graders did not meet the average proficiency of the state in math, reading, or writing. But, the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders proficiency percentages were significantly above the state's average proficiency. The school did exceptionally well and met all of their targets for index proficiency scores, percent of students tested, and for the attendance rate. The target rates on index proficiency scores for English were 83.9% and for Math, 73.1%. The target rates on the percent of students tested was 95% for English and Math. Lastly, for attendance the school reached 95.8% while the state reached only 93.8%.
